UM SUSTAINABILITY AND GREEN BUILDINGS

6 comments:

  1. The topic is a good one ... green building is very popular and might be the standard one day in the near future.

Some of the still shots of the construction site at the Law Center could be replaced with B-Roll from other construction sites on campus or around town. You could also visit a local lumber company to get B-Roll to add more shots about the building material (green or not).

The interview seemed a little long as far as watching Jim Morrison talk, and could be shortened. You could also show SOME of him talking, and then show additional B-Roll or still shots over the rest of him talking.

Lastly, the video can easily be shortened to the maximum length of 3:00 minutes. In areas where you talked slow, or had big pauses between sentences, you can shorten those pauses and lessen the total video time.

The video looks great the only thing I would do is to speed up the voiceover a little bit in the beginning. It is slow and it doesn't catch the viewer's attention.

  3. I think the addition of b-roll to your video would be very helpful and maybe break up the long interviews and pictures with footage of something related to what the interviewer is talking about. Shortening the video may help too, because I think you can lose viewers with the length.

  4. Interviews are a little long. The length can be shortened I believe by taking out some parts such as a few of the still shots. - Chip Gayden

  5. Consider editing out some b-roll for length, but add some b-roll to overlap interview sources. - Thomas Sanders

  6. Watch the time. To make it more effective and more interesting, shorten it so that viewers have a clearer understanding of what the focus is. -- Morgan Eaves
